The Horayra Story

A Name With a Story

For more than 1,400 years, the name of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) has been tied to a cat. He used to carry a little kitten in his sleeve and look after it, until the nickname stuck: Abu Hurairah, “the father of the kitten.” That story inspired our name, Horayra — an authentic Arabic name that speaks of warmth, gentleness and care for cats. Today we carry that value forward in our own way, by putting our attention into the food we make for them, and making sure their nutrition is built on natural, safe ingredients, carefully made in Saudi Arabia.
